To Ray-Ban or not to Ray-Ban…?
Growing up, my mother loved Ray-Bans and they were one of the few fashion items that she didn’t readily let me play with. This was probably a wise choice on her part because even when I came to have a sunglasses obsession my sophomore year of college (thanks to Nicole Richie![true story, i adore her]), I was always breaking them. I blame my accidents on the lack of sunglasses’ cases** made for oversized frames. The fragility of these items is the main reason that I never invested in a “really good” pair. When it comes to the wayfarer style, I’ve always been okay with sporting knockoffs. Really fly knockoffs but imitations none the less. But things have suddenly changed.
Behold the superiority of Ray-Ban design:
**is that gramatically correct?
*okay, never gonna happen but they are very pretty.

Ray Bans are so classy and I just love that black/clear pair. Like you, I’m afraid to purchase designer sunglasses for fear of breaking them, then again they do look so good…!

1. yes, that’s grammatically correct.
2. i <3 my ray bans. beyond style, the real ones also have better lenses which are definitely better for your eyes than the imitation ones. my eyes feel much more comfortable in real RBs and i can see color in them too, not just sepia everything. i say invest!!
Anna – I’m thinking of testing myself with a moderately price pair first. It can be one of my fashion challenges for 2010 haha
Melanie – I definitely remember when you called me from the store to consult me on that purchase. I encouraged it! Maybe this spring, I’ll take my own advice!
I definately love my Ray-Bans! Each pair I’ve bought look well, and I encourage everyone to invest in them. They are more than just trendy, they actually protect your eyes. Trust me, it will be the best $100+ you’ve ever spent in your life. Allegra + Ray-Ban = LOVE!!!
