Apparently, my love of soccer is a little known fact. During the last few weeks of World Cup group play, I seemed to have shocked a number of my friends with my level of intensity. I thought everyone knew! Nothing is more exciting to me than The World Cup! I’ll pass on the Olympics but give me my soccer! It’s the world’s sport! And it’s basically all I tweet about anymore!

My love affair started many a year ago…In 1994, I was 8 years old and my older brother loved Soccer so naturally I wanted to love soccer too. Only, I didn’t understand it all! Why all the running? I mean, there is just sooooo much running! And, not really a whole lot of scoring. And what the heck does offsides mean? But not understanding the game didn’t stop me from picking my favorite team – SPAIN. Because…you know… Spanish people love soccer, right? I’ll remind you once again that I was 8. Anyway, I’ve been loyal to the Spanish national team ever since – even though they’ve never won a World Cup and have been known to break a few hearts. But this year – this year- could really be our year!

And since Sandra asked, here’s what I think/hope/guess/Idon’treally know  will happen:
