About

I’m a 20-something living in NYC, working in the fashion industry and blogging in my free time. I started Trendology in the summer of 2008 in order to have a space to share my own ideas about fashion as a form of personal expression.  Since then, the site has gone through a handful of make-overs and a couple of bouts of inactivity but I’m feeling inspired again and ready to get back on the grind.

I never miss a chance to wear a wig or do the awkward robot.

On the personal front, I’m a Gemini – curious by nature with a mind like a collage. I love storytellers, the look and taste of citrus, taking an afternoon paseo, bold women, libraries, street art – arte callejero, free spirits, coloring books, reading childhood journals, silly drawings of animals, the Spanish language, discussing Ryan Gosling’s quirks and striking color palettes. I’m also passionate about Social Justice, Latin American Literature, and Real Madrid. I dream of living in southern Spain, riding vespas, and vacationing on the beaches of Portugal (sounds good, no?). Federico García Lorca is my favorite. I like to think that if we weren’t separated by space and time, we’d be dear friends – emailing constantly. He wrote, “sólo el misterio nos hace vivir, sólo el misterio”. In English that means: “only mystery makes us live, only mystery”. It’s my motto.

I like to document street art. I love the phrase "take care".
