I think I talk about this more than anything else on this blog but I am finally going to purchase a new pair of boots.
I’m giving myself the afternoon to scour NYC for the perfect pair because after walking around in ballet flats yesterday and praying it wouldn’t snow, I think I’ve had my wake-up call. Winter is here.
Little known fact about me: I love vintage suitcases and have a small collection of them.
More widely known fact: I totally have a crush on Shia LaBeouf.
Apparently, I am out of touch with what’s hot amongst America’s youth. My sister and I had a wonderfully enlightening conversation this weekend in which she told me about a new craze taking over the school where she teaches – So Low leggings.
So Low started as a company that made undergarments that would work with the low rise pants craze rather than against it. From there, the company has branched out and started making lounge and sports wear. The clothes are available on the company’s website as well as Bloomingdales, Olive & Bettes, Shopbop, and National Jean Company and have been spotted on everyone from Gwen Steffani to Kirsten Dunst, Lucy Liu, and Heather Locklear.
Nikki points out that the appeal to these clothes seems to be the fold over band which allows you to adjust the rise of the pants.I don’t know though… I just don’t get it. Can anyone shed some insight into this??
Please forgive my lack of posting- once again.
I am in the process of moving to NYC and don’t have consistent internet yet. I am currently shacked up at Linde’s (About To Combust), stealing her internet and trying to brace myself for the long ride back to the Bronx and the impending SNOW. Although NYC is not yet on blizzard status, I’m currently wearing a slippery pair of ballet flats. Not a good cold weather look.

I love it when stores and magazines give you ideas on how to make the most out of your clothes. This cheat sheet is from ASOS and all of the items are available right now on their website. BUT –as always, I encourage you to sift through your closets and shop your own clothes first. Why waste time lusting after something online, if you have something equally desirable waiting to be resurrected in you closet.
