and I know everything that shines ain’t always gonna be gold
I’ll be fine once I get it; I’ll be good.
I know what you’re thinking. How are you having an pseudo-existential moment brought on by a Kid Cudi music video? What is wrong with you? But cut a girl some slack, I’m highly susceptible to existential crises at the moment.
I really love these boat shoes from Sperry. At $58, they’re pretty decently priced but I can’t help but wonder what the DIY possibilities are here. After all, the shoes are just canvas. I recently bought a pair of white canvas shoes from Urban Outfitters for $5 and while I love the idea of white slip-ons, they’re highly impractical in a grimy city like NYC. I immediately thought they would be perfect for tie dying but I was a little concerned about the logistics since you know… you can’t actually twist and tie the shoes.Enter Martha Stewart and Proenza Schouler:
I can’t wait to try this method of “tie dying” on all kinds of things!
I’m not sure when I first came across Nadinoo but I made myself a note that said, “peter pan collars are the way to go”. They make ordinary blouses and dresses look sweet and innocent. It also helps that in this particular instance, designer Nadia Izruna has chosen to work with playful vintage inspired prints and delicate silks. Sugar and spice – it’s all so nice.
