This video is important for the following reasons:

  1. I still miss the World Cup.
  2. I have rekindled my love affair with Shakira. It spiked in 2001-2 and then again in 2006. I love this woman.
  3. Messi at 1:23. Something tells me that dude is just straight up awkward in real life – and has no idea. Again, at 3:16.

It’s been a while since I’ve done a proper post, which would be really shameful if it weren’t for the fact that my life outside of the internet has been tremendously busy. I think there is definitely a post in my future about the ups and downs of pursuing a career in fashion — a topic that I have somehow avoided until this point. But for now, “I’m working a sweat but it’s all good/ I’m breaking my back but it’s all good” and I’ll fall back into my blogging stride…this weekend?

Sitting down to some noodles with Jo tonight, we discovered our mutual love of LILITH FAIR and Jo informed me that the tour was making a comeback this year. Say Word?! The 13 year old girl inside of me, the one who begged her Dad to take her* , is rejoicing at this news. Finally, I will get to live out one of my childhood desires!


*My dad willingly took me to see an LFO concert but refused to take me to Lilith Fair. He drew the line at Lilith Fair.

It started because Netflix kept suggesting her film, “Straight Talk”, to me. After weeks of ignoring it, I finally caved and committed to watching at least the first 15 minutes. Pretty soon, I found myself deeply invested in the main character’s trials and tribulations because that Dolly Parton is just so gosh darn charming! I like spunky women who wear plenty of rhinestones. PLUS! her wiki bio is incredibly impressive and Dolly Parton understands that the combination of sequins and denim is awesome!
